Fleming County Extension Homemakers and public attended our Flag Dedication Ceremony on June 12th. The flag pole is next to the Fleming County Cooperative Extension Service, located at 1384 Elizaville Road. The two flags to be dedicated are as follows: U.S. American Flag, purchased and was flown over the Kentucky State Capital in 2014, on the 100th anniversary of the Smith-Lever Act, which established the Cooperative Extension Service, a state-by-state national network of educators who extend university-based research and knowledge to the people and Commonwealth of Kentucky Flag, donated by State Representative Mike Denham, also flown over the Kentucky State Capital.
